Presidency in Jeopardy
In August 9th, 1974, President Nixon officially resigned from his presidency
due to the Watergate Scandal that threaten him to be the first president to
be impeached. In the 1999, President Clinton faces the same problem. With
the controversies surrounding him regarding Monica Lewinsky and Paula Jones,
many American has voiced their opinions, and prefer President Clinton to
follow in Nixon's footsteps and resign. Most Americans just want the
problem to go away, while some feel that this is a better way out for
Clinton, rather than fight it with the Senate, then lose.
