After Final Fatasy VII, can we expect
Square to make an even better Final
Fantasy? Well, you don't have to, because they will do it. After looking
at several screenshots, Final Fantasy VIII will have people drooling for the
game long before its out.
With a expected release date somewhere in fall of 1999, we still have a
long way to go, but the screenshots so far has Final Fantasy fans dreaming
that it could be out tomorrow. Patience, my friends. Good games take a long
time to make. What can be expected from FFVIII? Same great music, same battle
system, but much, much better graphics.
Square takes FFVIII to the limit, using
full texture-mapping, and superb motion capture to make this game come to life,
real life.
The new main character is Squall, and his companions are Zell and Rinoa. They
all have limit breaks and summon magic, and much more. Since I am not a huge
fan of RPG, I will not give a full detail description of the game. IGN.com
